Our clients were a young married couple and this was their first apartment for their young family. Working with a limited budget meant prioritising space over expensive finishes, including retaining existing finishes, such as the homogenous tile floors, wherever possible. A palette of warm woods and soft whites was used to create simple and open spaces, with multi functional built in furniture accentuating the length of the walls and softening the transitions between rooms. Walls were removed to create a customized nursery and TV space within the Master Bedroom, and a low wall was added to create some privacy for a new walk-in wardrobe. The overall feel is one of simple and warm domesticity.
