Located within the residential neighborhood of Ang Mo Kio, Prodigal Roasters’ shopfront was envisioned to be open, welcoming and unassuming to its passers-by and visitors.
Working on a modest budget and small retail space, the layout, furniture and finishes considered the specific programmatic and space requirements of a busy barista kitchen and cafe. The public zone is clearly defined, from entrance to the stretch along the long kitchen bar. The palette of warm woods, white epoxy flooring, muted greys and white countertops and walls was developed to create an overall sense of simple domesticity within a retail space.
